The beautiful, and almost forgotten world of title cards.

I love title cards. Those wonderful paintings at the beginning of a film or cartoon, maybe shown for just a few seconds. They can do everything from set the mood of the film you are about to view, offer eye candy whilst production credits roll out, or even mislead the audience entirely, but boy, are they pieces of art!
