I found this piece hard. I'm not going to lie. Still many things I think I could improve upon, particularly in the latter half of the piece, where he tries to escape. STill feels a littlebit sloppy in places to me, but improved from where it was last. I like the opening, thanks to Siobhan Fenton for the idea.

Walk FINAL
My final Walking piece.
I really enjoyed working on this one. I still think I could improve our guys fall recovery, but at least I got the timing in his walk pinned, as well as toning down some of his gestures. It was pointed out that not many people make broad gestures whilst walking on the phone in broad daylight... Maybe our guy's just a little eccentric...
Pendulum FINAL
My Final Pendulum
Again, physics without character. Still, I feel this piece went better than the bouncing ball piece. I like the tension in the pendulums chain, made it a bit more 'lively'.
Bouncing Ball FINAL
I confess, I think this is the weakest of my assignments in this module.
Animating from observation, without adding any character, is a tough thing to do. I tried to make the scenario a bit more interesting from the last WIP shot, by adding the wall. Physics in my animation is definitely something I need to work on in the next module.
AP1 final WIP
The initial blocking for our final piece.
Still a few timing bugs to work out, but I'm happy with most of the poses, however I think his sneak looks a little bit too textbook, I might have to rework it.
EDIT:
Worked on the sneak, and splined it.
The piece looks a little bit 'floaty' to me. maybe due to staring at it too long, maybe not enough breakdowns. I had to go in and chop a few out, as the animation looked way too busy and OTT one it moved from stepped to spline curves. I also reigned in the sneak whilst I was at it. It didn't suit the rest of the animation. looked out of character.
Ball and Tail FINAL
The final render of my Ball and Tail!
I really had fun animating this little guy. Feedback given earlier suggested I added a bit more of an ending to the scenario, so I gave the little guy a bit of a "Scrat" from Blue Sky Studios "Ice Age" moment, jumping into oblivion after his nut. I do like how this one turned out.
Posing exercise, Final Renders
Behold! The final renders from the earlier posing exercise.
First set, "Er, Excuse Me"
Feedback from showing the first set of 3D renders, suggested I should a little bit more space between coffee guy, and running guy in the second image. The added negative space between the two characters does make for a more pleasing composition.
Second set, "What's in there?"
This was a fun set of poses, and the Malcolm Rig used really comes into it's own here. So bendy, can be posed into so many great shapes. A very versatile rig!

AP1 Final Animatic
The animatic for my final AP1 assignment. The guy has just kicked his ball into an old man's garden. A really grumpy old man's garden. With a really grumpy old dog. Now he has to get his ball back without attracting attention, or face a mauling!

Walk part the third
More changes after todays feedback session. Added a little bit more bounce to the hips, toned down his gestures a wee bit, and worked a little more on the fall recovery.
Weekly Sketch Dump
Ball and Tail updated
Finished animation, just needs an ambient occlusion pass adding.

Walk part the second
More progress on the walk cycle assignment, still a few bugbears to deal with. Some slight snapping of the legs have been pointed out to me that need top be addressed, and i'm not to happy with how his spine seems to snap back to violently as he regains his balance.

Walk, part 1
First part of our walking assignment. More breakdowns are needed, and perhaps a little more delay before reacting to the phone call.

Squirrel sketches
A little late to the party, but here's some groundwork sketches i did whilst working on the ball with tail exercise.
Walking breakdown
After sketching out the intial keys and breakdowns for my walking scenario, I went back and added further breakdown poses. The final shot will hopefully play out something like the image below.
Walking - Posing test sketches.
Okay, so the next assignment is walking with personality. I've decided to have my character walk into the scene, deep in conversation on his mobile phone. Distarcted, he trips over a rock in the road, regains his ballance, and walks on with injured pride. I drew up some really basic pose sketches, as a starting to point to get me going.
EDIT: Some added breakdown poses.

Ball with tail
The first dry run of my Ball with tail animation.
A couple of timing issues need to be addressed, particularly around the middle of the piece, when the ball spots the nut. Perhaps a little bit more reaction too. Also, something needs to happen when the ball reaches the nut, rather than just cutting the animation off.
