Bouncing Ball FINAL

I confess, I think this is the weakest of my assignments in this module.

Animating from observation, without adding any character, is a tough thing to do. I tried to make the scenario a bit more interesting from the last WIP shot, by adding the wall. Physics in my animation is definitely something I need to work on in the next module.

Ball and Tail FINAL

The final render of my Ball and Tail!

I really had fun animating this little guy. Feedback given earlier suggested I added a bit more of an ending to the scenario, so I gave the little guy a bit of a "Scrat" from Blue Sky Studios "Ice Age" moment, jumping into oblivion after his nut. I do like how this one turned out.

Squirrel sketches

A little late to the party, but here's some groundwork sketches i did whilst working on the ball with tail exercise.

Ball with tail

The first dry run of my Ball with tail animation.

A couple of timing issues need to be addressed, particularly around the middle of the piece, when the ball spots the nut. Perhaps a little bit more reaction too. Also, something needs to happen when the ball reaches the nut, rather than just cutting the animation off.

Balls updated

Okay, rotation has been added, both balls animated, i think a bit more needs adding when the balls come to a stop, maybe rock back slightly instead of stopping dead, but good progress I feel.

Ball early test

Early tests for the bouncing ball exercise. The tennis ball.

No rotation added yet. A few timing issues at the top of the balls arcs need to be addressed, and the golf ball of course needs animating.
